THIS Wednesday, December 14th we will be holding an OPEN training time for athletes ONLY.

If you want to see what we do and partake in Open QnA, go through a sample Underground Strength workout and see how we can help you reach your TRUE potential in life AND sports, this is your opportunity.

If you’re the type of parent or athlete who needs to wait for the new year to start a training program then this is NOT the program for you. We work with Go Getters and Action takers, NOT procrastinators. Procrastinators don’t WIN and they do NOT become champions.

We are limiting this open house to the first 5 parents who respond.

 Key Word: Parents…. Do NOT respond if you are under 18 and do not have the support of your parents.

You must be the parent of a middle school or high school athlete and the athlete MUST be present with his or her parent(s) to go through the workout.

NJ Wrestlers in Training

Check out this competition amongst our lightweight wrestlers (Under 135 lbs). If you’re an athlete you gotta compete on a regular basis, BUT, note that even during competition our athletes maintain perfect technique.

Our Football players are injured on a regular basis from their Coaches requiring them to “Max Out” every month on movements that young athletes are NOT ready or even beneficial for them to max out on. The majority of these Football Coaches need to get a Clue!! They are hurting young athletes and ruining their chances of success.

NJ Strength & Conditioning

In the video above you got a chance to see Bill Rauh, a Football Player & Wrestler from Edison and Dylan Marino, a Football Player & Wrestler from JP Stevens.

Both are new to wrestling and now attending wrestling clubs to catch up on their skills.

They are learning that wrestling will make them better at Football and vice versa. Being a multi-sport athlete who is stronger and faster than the competition adds more skill to your arsenal not just physically, but mentally as well.

When Billy started training here he was about 118 lbs and couldn’t deadlift 135 lbs, in the video you see him easily deadlifting 325 lbs!! 200 lbs More than when he started!

Dylan began in 7th grade and was barely able to perform a good push up, now a freshman, he is deadlifting 315 and went from 130 something lbs to 170 lbs!

Results don’t just happen, they are EARNED.

Becoming a champion athlete requires YOU to do the work that others aren’t willing to do.

NJ Wrestlers Face Judgment Day

This week is the beginning of the end for some, or, the beginning of THE journey for other NJ wrestlers.

Districts begin this Friday and this is THE proving grounds for NJ wrestlers, to see who has done the work and who hasn’t. For our NJ college wrestlers, there is a little more time.

NJ Track & Field Training

When you think training for track & field, you think running, right? Sure, if you are the typical Coach, Parent or athlete.

At The Underground, we have unconventional methods of training, methods that allow us to gain a LARGE advantage over those who don’t train with us.

Recently, Michael Julve had his first day of winter track, and, although he is a short distance runner (100-400 meter races) the Coach had everyone run 4 miles on the first day, makes sense, right? (Insert sarcasm HERE)

Michael was ahead of the pack, not tired at all, and he NEVER trains for distance. His friends were impressed and asked him all kinds of questions about his strength, his energy, etc. He told them to join him at The Underground and they all freaked out telling him they heard it’s too hard and they could never “do that kind of stuff”.

That’s right, it IS “TOO Hard”, especially for those satisfied with being average. This is what separates us even more so than the traditional athlete training facility. We don’t just train anyone, we ONLY train athletes who have the desire to become their best, those with the Eye of The Tiger.
