NJ Wrestlers Dominates District Title in Under 4 Minutes

A wrestling match has a 6 minute time limit unless Over Time comes up.

Russ Benner, a wrestler from Roselle Park, NJ pinned his way to a district title in under 4 minutes total over the course of 3 matches.

Pretty damn impressive, BUT, I am not shocked, because I have seen all the gut busting effort this BadAss has put forth for close to a year at The Underground.

NJ Wrestler Captures 100th Victory!

BIG Congrats goes to Russ Benner, a wrestler from Roselle Park High School who just captured his 100th career win.

Russ also recently won the Union County Wrestling tournament along with fellow Underground wrestler, Dawud Hicks of Plainfield.

On a critical note, Russ is wrestling 152 this year, no weight cutting, able to eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most wrestlers end up gaining excess fat in the off season and during the season they end up cutting excess weight, leading to a season of disappointments and anger.

Skipping meals and starving yourself sucks, no two ways about it.

Wrestlers have another option which is to pack on plenty of lean muscle AND improve wrestling skills in the off season. Russ did just that this off season and he is having his best season yet!

Look for Russ along with other Underground Strength Gym wrestlers doing damage the rest of the season!

NJ Wrestler, Russ Benner Wins Iron Horse Wrestling Tournament

Congrats to Russ Benner, a wrestler from Roselle Park, NJ who won 1 of the toughest NJ pre season wrestling tournaments, The Iron Horse Wrestling Tournament.

Russ beat a former Underground Strength Gym member in the finals.

Just goes to show you, EVERYTHING YOU DO counts, or, everything you DON’T Do.

Training must be done the RIGHT way.

NJ Wrestler Gets Driving License!

Congrats BIG time goes out to Underground homeboy & NJ Wrestler, Russell Benner, for getting his license!

Let the Good times roll baby!

Time goes fast for these high school kids. I remember getting my drivers license like it was yesterday, except, it was almost 17 years ago!!! OUCH!

The athletes of The Underground Strength Gym in Edison, NJ are training like animals and prepping for upcoming winter sports seasons.

Wrestlers are prepping for The Iron Horse wrestling tournament, around the corner right here in NJ.

Here’s Russ in action…..when the Tester saw that Russ was an Underground Beast, getting his driver’s license was in the hat!
