Here is a little insight into the beginning of the stages of getting all equipment and systems ready for the wrestlers who are about to sign up for The Underground Strength Club Inside of Vinny Santaniello’s Shore Thing Wrestling Club.

Check it and come back for Part II….. Coming soon!

Kettlebells are scheduled to arrive Thursday along with more specially made ropes specifically for wrestlers.

Sandbags will be made and stones will be found.

Those who become part of this small group will become straight up Gladiators!

NJ Wrestling Training at The Underground

I’m shocked at how so many wrestlers and athletes in general spend their time sitting on their ass playing video games instead of training to WIN.

I am shocked because this is setting yourself up to LOSE. If you play a sport, do you play with the attitude of gunning for average? Well, here’s a crew of NJ Wrestlers going for broke at The Underground as they prepare MONTHS in advance for next wrestling season!

Special Congrats goes to Ray DeLaNuez who has committed to wrestling at Rider University, a Division 1 Wrestling Program!

NJ Wrestlers Need to Cross Train

I ALWAYS speak to the athletes of The Underground and the Coaches I consult with regarding cross training to improve overall athleticism in their sport of focus.

Listen to a former 3 sport athlete from NJ, currently a Pro MMA Fighter, as he talks about how he used Football, Wrestling and Sprinting to make himself a more dominant athlete.

If all you do is play Football, or ONLY Wrestle, or ONLY Basketball…..

You are limiting your TRUE potential in performance.

SERIOUS athletes and open minded parents / Coaches understand this.

Those who don’t will eventually lead the athlete to burn out and overuse injuries.

NJ Wrestler Captures 100th Victory!

BIG Congrats goes to Russ Benner, a wrestler from Roselle Park High School who just captured his 100th career win.

Russ also recently won the Union County Wrestling tournament along with fellow Underground wrestler, Dawud Hicks of Plainfield.

On a critical note, Russ is wrestling 152 this year, no weight cutting, able to eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most wrestlers end up gaining excess fat in the off season and during the season they end up cutting excess weight, leading to a season of disappointments and anger.

Skipping meals and starving yourself sucks, no two ways about it.

Wrestlers have another option which is to pack on plenty of lean muscle AND improve wrestling skills in the off season. Russ did just that this off season and he is having his best season yet!

Look for Russ along with other Underground Strength Gym wrestlers doing damage the rest of the season!
