My heart was thumping, because I LIVE for this stuff! At 6 PM The Underground Strength Gym was pumping! It was beast city!
600 lb tires being flipped
Wrestlers training for the brutal Super 32
Barbells being Deadlifted
Ropes being climbed
Sledge hammers swinging
Sleds and Prowlers being pulled, pushed and ran with
Chalk flying
Kettlebells swinging
There musta been 12 athletes in the Underground at once, all highly focused, highly motivated and sweating bullets.
Music was pumpin’
Records were being broken
Athletes from middle school to college and beyond were mixing it up, pushing one another, motivating each other – it was definitely a scene which could have been dubbed in for Rocky III to show Rocky what they eye of the tiger was all about!
This is what I live for!
I love what I do, and when you follow your passion you can create something that attracts like minded individuals.
Half assers and lazy asses never make the cut and most never find their way here anyway.
This was a killer day, just 1 of many.
It was beast city in The Underground and just another day in the office!
Kill it!

PS: You ain’t gonna find this at any other gym.
PPS: What qualifies me to deliver this info? Our results do the talking. We’ve had countless 98 lb weaklings walk through the doors and transform themselves mentally AND physically. the character building is a HUGE part of what we do. Average doesn’t cut it, excellence is the only pursuit!

Yesterday I spent 30 minutes with the South Plainfield Wrestling Club training them with some Underground bodyweight and partner drills.
It was refreshing to be around an entire crew of motivated wrestlers.
Yep, I’m still disgusted with the ENTIRE team that doesn’t even take advantage of 2 FREE weeks of Underground training.
There were 5 year olds at this club working their butts off.
The Coaches were awesome, how cna you go wrong with guys like Matt Anderson and Steve Giordano.
Matt was a 4 time state finalist in NJ and Steve was a state champion and took 4th in the country at my old college, Kean University.
These wrestlers went through various gymnastics type drills, partner carries and hand walking drills.
Simple stuff, but very tough and VERY effective.
With a large group of wrestlers at the SP Wrestling club (looks like we had near 50 – 60 kids) it was tough to get super detailed.
But….I’m in the works with an off site Underground Gladiator Pre Season program that I will be holding at Gene Lezark’s CJA Wrestling Club.
We will limit this to a small number to ensure top quality.
It’s going to prove the power of bodyweight training. I feel sorry for their competition after I am done molding these kids into beastly Gladiators!
Until the next time,
Kill it!

PS: Much of my combative partner drills are in my home study course, found at http://UndergroundStrengthManual.com - I suggest you check it out if you’re at all serious about winning.
Winning doesn’t require “thinking about it”, it requires taking massive action. What will you do?

When I first opened my Underground Strength Gym I began the planning for my fundraiser which was motivated and inspired by my homeboy, Alwyn Cosgrove.
I sent invites to compete in this strongman fundraiser to surrounding schools. It was 3 other schools in addition to the one school where I had many Football players.
I was able to speak to the Football at the one school and he had a meeting with his team. Yes, the entire team! A Football team in a LARGE high school has anywhere from 60 – 100 total players.
Out of the entire team, guess who was interested?
ZERO, NADA, ZIP!
That’s right. NONE of them stepped up to compete. Imagibe being the Coach of such a team where noone wants to compete outside their comfort zone. How would you feel?
Not long ago, I sent the wrestling coach of that same high school a special invite for the wrestlers to take advantage of 2 full, FREE weeks to The Underground Strength Gym.
3 took advantage, but 5 minutes later, 2 cancelled.
So, all in all, 1 took advantage, and I wrote about him below, always throwing up from the easiest, simplest workouts, none of which were ever fully completed. This was an upper classmen, a varsity wrestler, who said his Coach had him in the weight room 2 x week and was a conditioning freak!
In the end, this 1 wrestler did not continue his training.
So, this school, all in all, has proven they are against winning, against competing, and have NO motivation to become great.
These athletes will unfortunately pay the price in losses, injuries and disappointments.
Imagine living like this?
Imagine coaching these athletes?
Post your comments below, let’s hear em’!
Kill it!

PS: Who is motivated? South Plainfield Wrestling club is having me at their club tomorrow, Monday, October 12th. This is a team that has the eye of the tiger, a town where parents support their kids and with Coaches who expect greatness from their athletes – nothing less. It will be refreshing to say the least!
PPS: Are you a die hard, motivated athlete or asupportive parent in central NJ? Then call our gym and let me help your child reach his / her true potential.

JC and Mikey Bandiero kill the rope climbs at The Underground Strength Gym of Edison, NJ.
Strong hands, solid abs, powerful pulling muscles – gotta kill it with the ropes.
The boys are back in town!
Kill it!

PS: JC was my very first client, back in the day when I was training him from my Dad’s garage, using stones, playgrounds and that crappy barbell set from good ol’ Costco. Those were some great times. It motivated me to create http://UndergroundStrengthManual.com
PPS: It ain’t easy at The Underground, but the results are well worth it. Call us and start rising to the top and crush your competition.

Funny how parents are actually putting their children at risk by not doing everything they can to improve their performance.
I ask parents this question to get them to dig deep:
“Have you done everything you possibly could to help your child be prepared as best as possible for his / her sport?”
If the answer is “No”, then you must ask yourself what kind of parent you are.
We had a wrestler go through a trial period here at The Underground Strength Gym of Edison, NJ and he had an insanely tough time going through our modified (wimpified) baseline programs. He threw up constantly and was not even able to be considered in horrible condition, this would be a compliment.
Do I sound rude? Sorry, this is truth speaking, nothing else.
Last year his shoulder was torn during a wrestling match – this can certainly happen in wrestling or other sports, but, being weak and not having strong tissues and muscles only adds to the possibility of you getting injured.
After having a poor performance last year, the Mother decided it is not good for her son to strength train 2 x week.
This is kinda like the baseball player who isn’t into lifting weights.
It says “I am not into winning.”
I feel bad for this kid because he wanted to train Underground, yet his Mom didn’t feel the need to support her son, even after his poor performance last year and a very serious shoulder injury.
Where’s the support, I must ask, where the hell is the support?
Kill it!
